A Sketchie Challenge, DT card for HM&FMC.

On this beautiful Monday it's time for a new challenge at 

House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge.

Lori is our lovely host today and her theme is a sketch.

I'm sure that many of you often uses a sketch as a basis

for your card, and if not you can give it a try today.

Create a  project based on the sketch layout. Your take can be literal - or your own creative interpretation. Feel free to turn the sketch horizontal, or make it into a shaped card. Add more layers, swap out the thought bubble for a cloud or flower, or other embellishment. Keep it simple like the layout, or pile on the goodies! Get creative! As long as we can see that you followed the sketch, have the main elements, and of course use House-Mouse Designs stamps, CD collection images or decoupage, you are good to go.

I had big plans for this card, it was ready in my head for days. But when turning my

thoughts onto paper it did not look the way I wanted... 

So I had to start over again and this is what I ended up with.

I've made a Birthday card for a little girl who's turning 5 years next week

with this super cute 'Gone With The Wind'  image.

Today's paper is NOT from Maja Design, but from Heidi Swapp, 

perfect for a little High Hopper traveling the world.

The 'Happy Birthday' embossing folder is from Cuttlebug.

Cool Edwin, a DT card for Stamp and Create with Magnolia.

My masculine, monochrome birthday card is made with an older image

called 'Cool Edwin'.  Look at him, I just love his attitude.

Edwin's pants is paper pieced with the same paper as the background,

it's from Heidi Swapp. Beautiful design papers.

After several attempts to make a proper looking sentiment

I gave it up and went for a finished one from Craftwork Cards.

A close up at handsome Edwin. The stars are leftovers from the border I made

 to decorate the inside with. I used a Magnolia die for it.

All edges are distressed and I've made some false stitchings.

The back side is like the front.

The sketch I've used id this one from Die Sketchtanten.

Jagten på en die.....

Kender I det, man ser noget et eller andet sted,

og pludselig opstår der et akut behov for at eje det selv!

Jeg havde set denne Cuttlebug die brugt på flere 

kort hos Annette og dermed startede jagten.

Annette var dog hurtig ude med et tips, og dermed var dien snart i hus.

Første kort ud er et enkelt drengekort,

med papirer fra Heidi Swapp. 

Jeg synes de passede fint til en lille flyvetur .

Tekststemplet et fra Gitte, Hobbyboden.

 

I ligestillingens navn var jeg nødt til at lave et mere

piget kort, med blomsterpapirer fra Basic Grey.

Tekststemplet derpå er fra Kreativ Hobby.

 Bagsiderne på begge kort består bare af mit

personlige stempel i en scalloped oval.

Jeg synes ikke det var noget at fotografere.

Fly fly away, a DT card for HM&FMC

After a long and sunny weekend- with huge internet problems-

I'm here with my DT card for the new challenge at 

House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge.

I'm the lucky one hosting this fortnigth

and the theme I have chosen is

TRANSPORT!

Use something on your creation that has some kind of mode of transport on it.

    Of course you must use a House Mouse, Happy Hopper

                                                                   or Gruffie to join in.

 

The image I have used today is rather big, and therefore the space

for embellishments are limited.  A sentiment and some Dew Drops!

The image is called 'Gone With The Wind'

 I found the design papers from Heidi Swapp 'No Limits'

perfect for the theme and image.

Orange isn't a colour I use a lot, but combined with blue

I think it looks great.

At the backside I have used the same dp and my personal stamp.
